Delbert Leroy McGuirk, Jr., age 46, Joplin, passed away at 6:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at Hillcrest Medical Center, Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Delbert was born July 20, 1968 in Toppenish, Washington and had lived in the Joplin area most of his life.
He worked at Tri-State Truck and Auto Salvage for 18 years as a parts puller. Delbert enjoyed his family; fishing and riding his motorcycle. He was an inspiration to many.
Delbert married Jackie Johnson on January 18, 1996 in Carterville, Missouri. She survives at the home.
Additional survivors include his children, Mistie Lania McGuirk, Joplin, Peyton Ashley McGuirk, Joplin, Shandie Reed, North Dakota, Carra Reed, Joplin, Angela White, Austin, Texas, Amber Lawhon, Carthage; siblings, Edna Willoughby, Joplin, William McGuirk, Jay, Oklahoma, Sharon McGuirk, Tennessee, Judy Bales, Tennessee; one grandson, Elijah Kaden Leroy Murray; and many nieces and nephews.
Delbert has been taken for cremation.
Memorial services are being planned for a later date.
Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
