John T. Rainey, age 86, Joplin, passed away at 5:45 p.m. Saturday, July 25, 2015 at a local nursing center after an illness.
John was born January 25, 1929 in Purdy, Missouri to the late Frank L. Rainey and Nona Garrison Rainey and had lived in the Joplin area all of his life.
He worked as a machine operator for Vickers for over 30 years, retiring in 1983.
John is survived by his wife, Lottie "Fanny"; two sons, John Rainey and his wife, Carolyn, Joplin, Joseph Rainey and his wife, Nancy, Joplin; a daughter, Jane Rainey, Joplin; eight grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
Graveside services are planned for Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
