Doran J. Haggard, 76, Neosho, entered into rest on December 6, 2018 at Seneca House, following an extended illness.
Doran was born October 29, 1942 in San Diego, California and lived most of his life in the southwest Missouri area. Doran served in the National Guard and had worked at Atlas Powder for many years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking and square dancing. He was a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church in Neosho.
Doran and Ila (Osborn) were married on December 30, 1982 in Miami, OK and she survives. Additional survivors include two sons, James Doran Haggard and Ricky Lee Haggard, both of Carl Junction, MO; four stepsons, James Allen Bevis and wife, Julie of Bella Vista, AR, Matthew Gene Bevis of Neosho, Joseph Edgar Bevis and wife, Kelly of Neosho and Michael John Bevis and wife, Cindy of Joplin; one sister, Dorene Nelson and husband, Alan of Joplin; brother in law and sister in law, Don Osborn and wife, Betty of Neosho, sister in law, Sandra McGeehee of Neosho; fourteen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, a granddaughter, Taryn Sheigh Haggard and brothers, Lloyd and Loren Haggard.
Services will be held on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at 10 am at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, Pastor Barry Reel will officiate. Interment will follow in the Gibson Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 to 7 pm at the Clark Funeral Home, Neosho.
