Martha L. Felkins, age 92, Joplin, went to be with her Lord and Savior at 11:40 p.m. Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at National Healthcare.
Martha was born February 22, 1926 in Joplin to the late William Oscar Blevins and Lorena Ethel Ritter Blevins and was an area lifetime resident.
Martha worked at Pillsbury-General Mills for many years, retiring in 1985. She was very active with church, teaching Sunday School for over fifty years. Martha enjoyed needle work; quilting; and spending time in the garden. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Martha married Johnnie Lee Felkins. He preceded her in death on November 21, 2007. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Herbert Blevins, Pete Blevins, Kate Lammers, Bob Blevins, Joanne Blevins, Zelma Kershner and Ruth Hastings.
Survivors include a son, Billy Felkins; a daughter, Susie Pinson, Joplin; grandchildren, Timothy Felkins and wife, Cindy, Pennie Skelton and husband, Gene; and great grandchildren, Cooper, Tucker, Bailey, Ryker, Bryce and Blake.
Graveside services are planned for Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery. Mike Curry will officiate. The family will receive friends Sunday from 3:30-4:30 p.m. at Parker Mortuary. Memorial contributions may be made to Watered Gardens, in care of Parker Mortuary.
Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
