Herb Owens, age 73, of Granby, Missouri, passed away on December 6, 2018 at Freeman Hospital in Joplin, Missouri.
Herb was born on August 27, 1945 in Joplin, Missouri to the late Sam Luther Owens and Emma Mae Flover Owens.
Herb married Barbara Reynolds on September 7, 1977 in Miami, Oklahoma. She survives at the home.
Additional survivors include three sons; Jack Owens and wife, Violet of Joplin, Buddy Owens and wife, Angela of Joplin, Herb Owens and wife, Jennifer of Neosho; three daughters, Opal Goswick and husband, Scott of Racine, Destiny Owens and Lexi Owens, both of Granby; brother, Jack Owens and wife Sue, of Granby; sister, Vera Johnston of Joplin; eight grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
In addition to his parents, Herb was preceded in death by two daughters, Barbara Owens and Cherri Owens; three grandsons, Brett Divine, Dustin Heiskell, and Deven Robertson; six brothers, Clifford Owens, Clarence Owens, Lawrence Owens, Henry Owens, and Bill Owens; one sister, Frances McCammon.
Funeral services will he held on Tuesday December 11, 2018 at 11:00 am at Parker Mortuary. Robin Siagars will be officiating. Interment to follow at Saginaw Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Monday at 6:00 pm at Parker Mortuary.
