Tim D. Hensley, 62, passed away December 5, 2018 at Mercy Hospital in Fort Scott, KS. Tim was born in Carthage, Missouri on September 21, 1956. Tim lived in the Avilla area and worked at Leggett & Platt’s Wire Mill as a wire drawer for 35 years; he lived in the Cato, KS area for the past four years.
Tim was united in marriage to Shirley Frasure on December 20, 1975 in Gallup, NM; she survives.
Tim is survived by one daughter, Tina Wilson and husband Clint of Arcadia, KS; one son, Donovan Hensley and wife Amber of Nixa, MO; four grandchildren: Gage, Cody, Hailey, and Timber; one sister, Judy Hensley of O’Neill, NE; three brothers, Ben Hensley of Carthage, Karl Hensley of Elgin, NE and Doug Hensley of Carthage.
Tim was preceded in death by his father Earl Hensley, mother Marion “Ford” Keyes, step-father Cecil Keyes and brother Earl Hensley Jr. Cecil Keyes was an important part of Tim’s life and a tremendous influence in his growth.
Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at Ulmer Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday, December 10, 2018 at Ulmer Funeral Home. Burial will be at Dudman Springs Cemetery.
