Charlie William Childress, 65, of Purdy, Missouri went to be with his Heavenly Father on January 16, 2019 while at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. He was born on January 28, 1953. He was united in marriage on November 4, 1993 to Beverly Gott; she survives.
He was the owner of Childress Roofing in Purdy, Missouri.
Charlie is survived by one daughter: Brandi Krempges and her husband Jeremy of Mt. Vernon, Missouri; his wife Beverly of the home; two step-sons: Keith Landes of Joplin and Ronnie Edwards of Van Clive, Mississippi; two step-daughters: Patricia Arnaud and her husband Jim of Monett and Rebecca Hovis and her husband Harry of Houston, Texas; one brother: Rodney Childress and his wife Laquita of Pierce City; one half-brother: Kenny Pryor and his wife Sallie of Monett; one step-brother: Alvin Pryor and his wife Mary Jo of Purdy; one sister: Marsha Mize of Sarcoxie; thirteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
Memorial services for Charlie are being held on Monday January 21, 2019 at 6:00p.m. with visitation to follow services until 8:00p.m. at the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Chapel in Monett, Missouri.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett, Missouri.
