Christine Marie “Ellis” Scholes, 60 passed away January 22, 2019 at Freeman Hospital, Christine was born January 18, 1959 in Chicago, IL. Christine was a local resident for the past 38 years moving from the Chicago area. She was currently working at PIC plastics and had worked there for the past 13 years. She was a member of the St. Ann’s Catholic Church, and the P.C.C.W. at St. Ann’s. She was a member of the Laryngectomy support group, Christine graduated as an LPN from Vatterott College in Joplin in 1996.
Christine is survived by George Scholes III they were united in marriage in 2003 in Cassville, MO he survives. She was preceded in death by her 1st husband of 17 years, William “Bill” Ellis.
Christine is survived by four sisters; Marilyn Cleary (Larry) of Carthage, Sandra Benson of Carthage, Jeanette Pruitt (Roger) of Middle River MN, Letricia Gram (David) of Middle River MN; one brother Raymond Moehle of Chicago, IL; seven children, Elizabeth Speck (Gabriel) of Carthage, Katie Harrison (Jeff) of Lincoln, NB, Helaina Ellis (Pamela) of Joplin, Delmar “Bud” Ellis (Hannah) of Carthage, Anthony Thomas Ellis (Cara) of Carthage, Anna Marie Scholes of Carthage and Melissa Brooke Scholes of Carthage; twelve grandchildren Joe, Mikayla, Gabriel, Charlie, Hunter, Reagan, Addalyn, Payton, Tyra, Keith, Drew and Seth.
Christine is preceded in death by her mom Marie Anne Howard, her dad John P. Moehle, and step-dad Jack Benson, two brothers preceded in infancy Richard and Johnny.
Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday January 25, 2019 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. January 24, 2019 at Ulmer Funeral Home, with rosary beginning at 6:10. Contributions can be made the Christina Scholes memorial fund in care of Ulmer Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the direction of Ulmer Funeral Home.
