Kimberly Upton

(From Parker Mortuary)

Kimberly A. Upton, 53 of Wyandotte, Oklahoma, passed away suddenly on April 25, 2021 at Mercy Hospital. She was born on April 10, 1968 in Overland Park, Kansas to Carolyn Ann and Donald Upton.

Kimberly was a very loving mother, grandmother, daughter and friend. When she loved, she loved with everything in her, especially her family.

She is survived by her 2 daughters, whom she was so proud of and loved so deeply, Terra Neal of Quapaw, Oklahoma, and Ashley Lawrence of Carl Junction, Missouri; her two Son-in-Laws Kyle Neal and Austin Lawrence; her 3 grandchildren who were the light of her life, Kolton Neal, Riley Lawrence and Tyler Lawrence; the father of her two daughters, Mark Upton, and her two little 4 legged loves, Sugar Shack and Buddy the Elf.

She is preceded in death by her brother, Mark A. Upton; her mother, Carolyn Upton and a significant other whom she loved dearly, Bill Dunaway.

Kimberly began her tax career at the age of 17 beside her Mother-in-law, Scarlet Upton. In 2001 she purchased the family business, Upton Tax Service, and relocated the business to Webb City. She had such a passion for what she did. She loved her clients. They were more than just clients to her, they were more like friends and family.

Kimberly was living her best life! She fulfilled her dream of buying a farm for her family to enjoy and spend quality time. The farm was called “Our Happy Place”, and it truly was her happy place, her slice of heaven, especially the back porch where she could enjoy her Patron and the beautiful scenery while listening to music. She had a passion for dancing and having fun. Her smile was so contagious and brought light to anyone she came in contact with. She never met a stranger.

Her family was absolutely everything, as you could tell when walking into her office. She had so many pictures to be proud of that she enjoyed sharing with her clients. Clients also loved to be part of the “wall of fame” and be included in her collages.

She was a very humble woman with so much love to share. Kimberly was a woman of class, determination, dedication, loyalty, ambition, diligence and devotion. If you asked anyone who knew her what she was passionate about, they would say, her daughters, her grandbabies, her friends, her clients, her dancing boots and riding her four wheelers.

Per her request, a service will not be held. Terra and Ashley ask you to join them in a Celebration of Life at “Our Happy Place”, 17124 S. 663 Road, Wyandotte, Oklahoma on May 8th at 2pm.
