Patti Parrigon

Patty Sue Parrigon, age 67, of Pierce City, MO passed away on Friday, April 16, 2021 at Cox Medical Center South in Springfield, MO. 

Patty was born in Joplin, MO on Sunday, May 10, 1953; daughter of Harold and Martha (Schueller) Dresslaer. She graduated from McAuley High School in Joplin, MO in 1971. 


She was married to Larry Parrigon on Saturday, January 8, 1972 in Springfield, MO. 








Patty was a secretary for C & J Machine and owned a video store in Pierce City. She liked to read, gamble, go for Sunday afternoon drives, and sit outside on her porch. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and enjoyed helping at St. Mary's School. Patty always enjoyed time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include: two sons, Andy and Lee Parrigon of Wentworth; one daughter, Carrie (Andy) Hogenmiller of Pierce City; one brother, Major "Jim" Dresslaer of Wichita; three sisters, Jean Ann (Steve) Smith of Stockton, Mary (Bob) Hayes of Crane, and Terri (Mike) Parrigon of Reddings Mill; five grandchildren, Brittany Weston, Brandon (April) Weston, Clay Parrigon, Anna Hogenmiller, and Eli Hogenmiller; one great-grandson, C.J. Weston; six brothers-in-law, Neil (Bobbie) Parrigon of Pierce City, Tom Parrigon of Monett; Mike Logan of Republic, Vince Parrigon of Pierce City, Wendell (Sherryl) Parrigon of Pierce City, and Kevin (Sam) Parrigon of Pierce City; three sisters-in-law, Bonnie Parrigon of Pierce City, Charlotte (Doug) Sloan of Pierce City, and Melissa (Randy) Ballay of Monett; and numerous other nieces, nephews, and friends.

Patty was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Martha; her husband, Larry; her in-laws, Leo and Joyce; a brother, Harold "Bud" Dresslaer; two brothers-in-law, Dale and Mark Parrigon; and a sister-in-law, Maria Logan.

The family will receive friends at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Pierce City, MO on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM. Rosary Service will follow at 7:00 PM

Funeral Mass will be at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Pierce City, MO on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 beginning at 10:00 AM with Father Matt Rehrauer officiating. Burial will follow at St Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Pierce City, MO. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Lakin Funeral Home in Pierce City, MO.

Memorials may be made to St. Mary's Catholic School in care of the funeral home.
