(From Clark Funeral Home)Naomi Lee White, age 87, passed away on December 10, 2024, in Springfield, Missouri, after a lengthy illness. She was born on February 25, 1937, in Pierce City, Missouri, to Charley Oxendine and Edna Lucile (Davidson). Naomi graduated from Midway High School in 1954. On October 3, 1954, she married Jackson White in Berwick Community, Missouri; he preceded her in death on June 30, 2002.
Naomi was a devoted homemaker, was devout in her faith, and cherished spending time traveling. One of her greatest joys was riding along with her husband as an over-the-road truck driver, during which they visited nearly every state together.
She is survived by her daughters, Lucy Garrett and Jacki White, her son, Christopher White, and her sister, Norma Loveland. Naomi’s legacy also includes her beloved grandchildren: Deanna Williams and her husband Darrin, Diamond Collins, Jillan Schaffer and her husband Ryan, Ashleigh Pegelo and her husband Ryan, Jennifer Huddleston and her husband Lee, Michael Doty and his wife Leah, Brandon White and his wife Chastity, Patrick White and his wife Christina, and Krystal Dierks and her husband Robert. She was also blessed with 22 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Naomi was preceded in death by her brothers, Ralph and Leon Oxendine, and her grandson, Richard Jason McGuire.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 20, 2024, at Clark Funeral Home Chapel in Granby, Missouri, with Jeremy Jackson officiating. The family requests that memorial contributions be made in Naomi’s name to the American Cancer Society.
