(From Midland Cremation Society)Kent Warren Tomlinson went to be with Sherry and Jesus August 20th, 2025 shortly before 1am. He passed with family and friends by his side after a lengthy battle with colon cancer.
Kent was born May 15th, 1963 in Bernalillo, New Mexico to Gary Tomlinson and Margie Wiseman.
He was a woodworking tradesman throughout his life and did many large local projects with Crossland Construction.
Kent met the love of his life, Sherry Mattox, and they married shortly thereafter. They shared Sherry’s son Alex, who they raised together as well as other neighborhood adopted children. Kent and Sherry worked closely with AA and NA locally. They also regularly attended CCC and did mission trips with the church internationally.
Kent was a wonderful friend, father figure, grandfather, and mentor. He absolutely loved skydiving, his animals, and smooth jazz.
He is survived by his children Alex Karriman, Kyle Olson, Kayla James, Kristen Ontoveros, and his 7 grandchildren.
Memorial services are to be determined.
