Ollie Kinslow

(From Ozark Funeral Home)

Ollie Evert Kinslow, Sr., age 82, of Anderson, Missouri, departed life peacefully surrounded by family at his home on Sunday afternoon, August 17, 2025, following a brief illness. He entered this life on April 12, 1943, in Anderson, Missouri, born to the union of the late Isic and Wilma (Willhite) Kinslow.

Ollie's early years were spent in Anderson, but at the age of 14, he moved with his family to California. In 1981, he returned to his roots in Anderson to reside on the family farm.

For many years, Ollie was a dedicated employee at McKee Foods, from which he retired in 2015. He was a longtime member and Deacon of Patterson Heights Baptist Church. His deep faith and commitment to his church community were sources of great comfort and inspiration to those around him.

Ollie was a man who found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved working on his family farm, cutting wood, weed eating, and embracing the beauty of the outdoors. His hands were rarely still, as he was always finding ways to stay active and productive.

He leaves behind a legacy of love and family. Ollie is survived by his two children, Ollie Kinslow, Jr. and his wife, Tina, of Anderson, Missouri, and Lynnette Patterson and her husband, Scott, also of Anderson. He was a proud grandfather to eight grandchildren: Derrek Woodard and his wife, Emily; Lane Kinslow and his wife, Jenna; Brett Woodard; Kaitlin Bohnert and her husband, Derrick; Bailey Price and her husband, Sky; Ashley Patterson; Carter Kinslow; and Olivia Kinslow. His joy was multiplied with the addition of eight great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Eva Rhodes of Winfield, Kansas, and a host of other family and friends who will miss him dearly.

Ollie was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Lyda Kinslow, who passed away on February 25, 2016; and five siblings, Goldie, Dave, Owen, Jewell Kay and Margaret.

Funeral services are 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 21, 2025 at Patterson Heights Baptist Church with Bro. Fred Mills officiating. Burial will follow at Peace Valley Cemetery in Anderson, Missouri.
