(From Countryside Funeral Home)Rutha J. Kolb-Campbell 79, of Pittsburg, KS, passed away on Tuesday, August 19, 2025. Rutha was born on August 3, 1946, in Subiaco, Arkansas, the daughter of Herman and Willie Juanita (Beaver) Campbell.
After high school, Rutha continued her education, she then went to work for the City of Pittsburg, KS, where she worked as an Environmental Water Technician, until she suffered an injury which led to her retirement. During her younger years, Rutha was involved in the Rodeo showing horses and some barrel racing. She enjoyed going dancing and fishing. Rutha liked working in her garden, growing roses, doing crochet work, making jewelry and collecting glassware.
Rutha married Ronald W. Browne and they later divorced, she then married Jim Kolb and they later divorced.

Grandchildren: Tanner W. Browne of Chanute, Colton L. Browne of Chanute, Kohl A Tigerstom of KC, Ashlyn Kolb of Grand Island, NE. Andrew Browne of Pittsburg, Ashley Ewan of St. Paul, Remington Kolb of Webb City, Brielle Kolb of Springfield, Heston Kolb of Arma and Benelli Kolb of Arma.
Great Grandchildren: Maci, Faye, Arianna, Navy, Brayson and Zepplin.
Rutha was preceded in death by her parents, an infant daughter Penny Denise Browne and a son, Joseph Boyd Browne.
Cremation has been requested with no services planned at this time. Memorials have been suggested in her memory to the American Kidney Fund and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Countryside Funeral Home 420 S. 20th St., P.O. Box 247, Fredonia, KS 66736
