Debra King

Debra Ann (Poe) King age 71 of Neosho, Missouri departed this life on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at the Circle of Life in Bentonville, Arkansas following a recent battle with cancer.

Debra was born on June 13, 1955, in Kansas City, Missouri to the union of Billy Dean and Shirley Ann (Mitchell) Poe. She was raised in the Powell, Missouri area and attended McDonald County School system. Following her senior year, she moved to Misawa, Japan with her husband who was in the Air Force. She also lived in Seattle, Washington, Detroit, Michigan, Tulsa, Oklahoma, Great Bend, Kansas, Enid, Oklahoma, Joplin, Missouri, Galena, Missouri and Neosho, Missouri, where she was an aerobics instructor, secretary at the renaissance high-rise in Detroit, went to cosmetology school and where she was very good but never practiced commercially. 






 Debra was an over-the-road truck driver and taught driving school for people who wanted to get their CDL driver’s licenses. She also worked for several different retailer where she loved working with the public.

Preceding her in death were her parents Bill and Shirley; sister Rhonda, and niece Natasha.








She is survived by her husband Ed King, brothers Scott Poe of Pineville, Randy Poe (Ginger) of Rocky Comfort, Missouri; nieces Kesha and Ebony who she helped raise; nephews, Michael, TaShawn, Mitchell whom she loved very much; stepchildren Lance, Dustin and Sara; five grandchildren, one great grandchild; and nine great nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on October 9, 2026, at Ozark Funeral Home, Anderson, Missouri. Pastor Marilyn O’Brien will officiate.
