(From White Funeral Home)Janice Peterson, age 84, of Shell Knob, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, at her home, surrounded by the love of her family.
Janice was born on October 9, 1942, in Kansas City, Kansas, to Clarence and Mary Milberger. In 1961, she married the love of her life, Michael Peterson, in Kansas City, Kansas. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with love, cherished memories, and a family that became the center of Janice’s world.
Janice found happiness in the simple pleasures of life. She enjoyed tending to her rabbits, spending time in her garden, and, most of all, taking care of the people she loved. Her husband, affectionately known as “Grandpa,” held a special place in her heart, and she took great joy in caring for him and making sure he was loved. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were among her greatest blessings, bringing endless love, laughter, and happiness into her life.
Family was everything to Janice. She had a special way of showing her love through the care and attention she gave to those around her. Whether she was tending to her garden, caring for her beloved rabbits, looking after her husband, or spending precious time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Janice was happiest when she was surrounded by the people and things she loved most.
Janice leaves behind a legacy of love, devotion, and beautiful family memories that will continue to live on through the generations she helped shape. Though her presence will be deeply missed, the love she gave so freely will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
Janiece is survived by her loving husband Michael; two sons, Michael Peterson and his wife Tammy of Shawnee, Kansas, and Jeff Peterson of Shell Knob, Missouri; five grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, November 13, 2026, at 1:00 pm at White Funeral Home and Crematory in Cassville, Missouri with Pastor Bill Kenagy officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of White Funeral Home and Crematory.
