(From Ulmer Funeral Home)
March 13, 1992 - October 28, 2026Talia’s Farewell
Well, if you’re reading this obituary, it looks like I didn’t quite make it to 35, but I most certainly tried! At least we ended on an even number. While I know that not every single one of you will be laughing at this, please understand that humor and sarcasm are sometimes just about the only way I would make my way through the day, constantly trying to remind myself; it’s not that serious. After all, this is only the first part of the grand adventure - our earthly existence.
Sticking with the formality for a brief moment… I was born on Friday March 13, 1992, in Springfield, MO to our parents Nedale (LeMasters) Johnson and Vincent Triplett. I arrived just proudly before my twin sister, Whitney, and yes that is “Friday the 13th.”
As I begin my eternal life, I am welcomed with open arms by my father Vincent, along with several great aunts and uncles, close friends and extended family. I imagine my earthly existence will be celebrated by my beloved, devoted and treasured daughter Elleana Marie-Vinette; my deepest confidant Eddie and his amazing children Phoenix and Edward; my parents Robert and Nedale (Johnson); sister Whitney (Triplett) Baker (Evan) and their amazing children, Lydia Grace, Piper Mae, Selah Vinae, and Maximus Russell; sister Gwyneth Johnson (Brandan) and their incredible children Xavier and Olivia; brother Isaac Johnson (Ainsley); my beautiful maternal Grandmother, Nedolyn LeMasters and friend Sue Henson; Uncle Jason LeMasters, Uncle Bill Johnson (Sarah); my beautiful paternal Grandmother Tillie Bond (Mike); Uncle Brian Triplett (Bridget); Aunt Stephanie Triplett; Uncle Justin Triplett; as well as numerous friends who I considered as close as family.
I need to let you know something that is so important to me. As I mentioned before, this life we are given, the one I once had and cherished so deeply, is only the beginning - our earthly existence. Personally, I didn’t live my life with a great presence of community within any specific church. The only thing I regret about that now, is that it wasn’t something that I prioritized for my daughter, like my parents had when I was growing up. I do believe that while it isn’t a requirement, a religious community is so important and valuable especially at a younger age. I chose to have a personal relationship with God, but unfortunately missed out on sharing this with my daughter and helping her develop a community of friends to share and learn the word of God with.
Whether you’re part of a church community or you’re like me and have a more personal relationship, the most important thing in life is that you remain connected with God. Pray when things are good, but also when things are bad. Ask questions, seek His guidance, share His word with others. One of my favorite quotes to live by is, “Make God a priority”. When you live your life this way, you will serve to honor Him in the best possible way. At the end of our earthly existence, we are promised eternal life. I would love to share that with you. And the only way that will happen is if you have a relationship with God and accept Jesus Christ as your Savior. So please, if I ever asked anything of you, this is the most important to me.
Talia’s family would like to thank her entire healthcare team through Mercy. Talia fought this battle since 2020, and we are grateful for all of “her team” who supported her along the way. A special thank you to hospice, especially Dacey, who went above and beyond for Talia in her findal days with us.
There will be a service held for Talia, at 2:00 PM on Monday, November 2, 2026, at The Bridge a Christian Church in Carthage, Missouri. The visitation will be held prior to the service from 12:30 to 1:30 PM at The Bridge a Christian Church on Monday, November 2. The burial will take place at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Carthage immediately following the service.

At this point, I’m flying high in the sky with wings you could only dream of, serving our God in Heaven and fully enjoying my eternal existence in a pain free body and absolutely looking my best. Don’t worry, there is absolutely no envy here so, you too, will join me one sweet day, and I trust that you will be looking just as fabulous!
