Lisa Mettlach

Lisa Marcell Mettlach, age 64, of Pierce City, Missouri, passed away on Friday, October 30, 2026, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Monett, Missouri, on Friday, April 6, 1962, to George “Bud” and Frances (Rakoski) Mettlach.

Lisa was a graduate of Pierce City High School. She spent many years working as a boot cutter at Justin’s Boot Factory, later known as Belleville Boots, where she remained until her retirement in 2025. Throughout her life, Lisa found joy in the simple things that meant the most to her. She loved flowers, her two beloved cats, Socks and Mittens, and, above all, her family.

Family was at the heart of Lisa’s life. She especially treasured the time she spent with her grandchildren and looked forward to family dinners, get-togethers, and outings. These moments brought her happiness and created memories that her loved ones will carry with them always. Lisa’s love for her family was a special part of who she was, and her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish Lisa’s memory include her two daughters, Heather Fly of Joplin, Missouri, and Jessica (Zach) Joyce of Carthage, Missouri; six grandchildren, Tanner, Montana, Aubrey, Trevor, Josie, and Jayce; three brothers, Greg (Manda) Mettlach of Pierce City, Missouri, Brian (Tonya) Mettlach, and Mark Mettlach of Stella, Missouri; one sister, Sharon Mettlach of Carthage, Missouri; along with many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Lisa was welcomed to heaven by her beloved son, Cody Mettlach, and her parents, George “Bud” and Frances Mettlach. Though she will be greatly missed, the love she shared with her family will remain in their hearts forever.

The family will receive friends at Lakin Funeral Home in Pierce City, Missouri, on Monday, November 2, 2026, from 7:00 to 8:00 PM. Following visitation, Lisa will be cremated in accordance with her wishes. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Lakin Funeral Home in Pierce City, Missouri.
