Debra King

Debra Ann (Poe) King age 71 of Neosho, Missouri departed this life on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at the Circle of Life in Bentonville, Arkansas following a recent battle with cancer.

Debra was born on June 13, 1955, in Kansas City, Missouri to the union of Billy Dean and Shirley Ann (Mitchell) Poe. She was raised in the Powell, Missouri area and attended McDonald County School system. Following her senior year, she moved to Misawa, Japan with her husband who was in the Air Force. She also lived in Seattle, Washington, Detroit, Michigan, Tulsa, Oklahoma, Great Bend, Kansas, Enid, Oklahoma, Joplin, Missouri, Galena, Missouri and Neosho, Missouri, where she was an aerobics instructor, secretary at the renaissance high-rise in Detroit, went to cosmetology school and where she was very good but never practiced commercially. 

 Debra was an over-the-road truck driver and taught driving school for people who wanted to get their CDL driver’s licenses. She also worked for several different retailer where she loved working with the public.

Preceding her in death were her parents Bill and Shirley; sister Rhonda, and niece Natasha.

She is survived by her husband Ed King, brothers Scott Poe of Pineville, Randy Poe (Ginger) of Rocky Comfort, Missouri; nieces Kesha and Ebony who she helped raise; nephews, Michael, TaShawn, Mitchell whom she loved very much; stepchildren Lance, Dustin and Sara; five grandchildren, one great grandchild; and nine great nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on October 9, 2026, at Ozark Funeral Home, Anderson, Missouri. Pastor Marilyn O’Brien will officiate.

Loyd Elbrader

Loyd Ivan Elbrader was born on February 24, 1934, in Redfield, Kansas, to Herbert Augustus Elbrader and Hazel Eva (Eisenbrandt) Elbrader. He passed away peacefully at his home in Neosho on September 8, 2026, at the age of 92.

In 1957, Loyd and his family moved from Pasadena, California, to Neosho, Missouri, to work at Rocketdyne as a machine operator and retired from Teledyne in March 1996.

During his retirement years, he enjoyed being on his farm and staying active. He enjoyed spending time with friends at the Neosho Senior Center playing pool and enjoyed playing spinner dominoes, fishing and most of all, spending time with his grandchildren. Loyd loved his homemade vanilla ice cream and always welcomed anyone willing to help him make it. Loyd will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather.

On June 11, 1955, in Walnut, Kansas, Loyd and Mary Ann (Richard) were united in marriage and she preceded him in death on September 20, 1999. Loyd is survived by four children, Dennis Elbrader and wife, Debbie of Galena, Kansas, Gayle Price and husband, Dave of Girard, Kansas, Michelle Franks and husband, Monte of Bentonville, Arkansas and Christine Beauchamp, and husband, John of Weldon Spring, Missouri, son-in-law, Gail Alloway of Parsons, Kansas, sister-in-law, Kate Stonerock of Girard, Kansas and brother, Delbert Elbrader and wife, Dorothea of Burlington, Kansas; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and extended family.

In addition to his wife and parents, he is preceded in death by a daughter, Juanita Alloway, sister, Mildred Harris, husband Forrest “Toad” and brothers, Harold Elbrader, wife Martha, Earl Lee Elbrader, wife Dorothy, and Donald Neil Elbrader, wife Roberta.

The family will receive friends at a time of visitation on Sunday, September 13, 2026, at Clark Funeral Home, Neosho, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, September 14, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 109 E. 9th Street, Pittsburg, Kansas. Interment will follow in the Girard Cemetery, Girard, Kansas. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Matthew Alloway, Dusty Elbrader, Austin Price, David Serfass, Ryan Serfass and great-grandson Tucker Harrell. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Bradbury, Calvin Boyd and Ralph VanDorn. Contributions in honor of Loyd may be made to the Neosho Senior Center for the billiard room, c/o Clark Funeral Home, PO Box 66; Neosho, Missouri, 64850.

Stephen Beegle

Stephen Beegle, 38 passed away Wednesday August 19 2026 in Jacksonville FL.

Born in Joplin Mo, he has also lived in Webb City, Columbia SC, Jacksonville FL, as well as St. Mary’s GA.

Survivors include his daughters Lilly Beegle, Peyton Beegle both of MO, his sister Tiffany Beegle of South Carolina, nephews Scotten Kenworthy Jr. of Arizona and Jamison Moss of South Carolina, and stepfather Lance Roy of Florida.






Stephen is preceded in death by his mother Minnie Beegle, brother Scott Kenworthy Sr., maternal grandparents Art and Dorothy Kenworthy, and paternal grandparents Joe and Elsa Beegle.

Stephen had a big heart and would do anything for anyone that he could. He always made an impression on anyone he met, his humor was unmatched. He was a tough character that always had a good laugh. He was there when he could be. His memory will live on through the ones he loved and those who loved him.

Bernice Robinson

Bernice L. (Reeve) Robinson passed away 9-3-2026 with her family at her side.

She was born 4-23-1950 in Bethesda, Maryland to Frank M and Doris J (Reynolds)Reeve. As the child of a Marine, she lived in Virginia, California and Hawaii. Early in life she knew she wanted to be a nurse when she tried to nurture an injured June bug using a matchbox for the hospital bed. She succeeded by earning her R.N from Mennonite Hospital School of Nursing in Bloomington, Ill in 1971. An avid student, She later earned her BSN from SMS in Springfield, MO and MSN from UKC KC, KS. 

As a nurse Bernice worked numerous positions at both Joplin hospitals as well as teaching at NEO in Miami OK. She met her future husband Mike Robinson at Normal Community High School in Normal Ilinois. They celebrated their 57th anniversary June 28, 2026. Lovers of travel, they explored the US and the world but were always happy to return home to Joplin where they planted deep roots.

More than nursing, Bernice was most proud of being Mom to daughter, Dawn of Joplin, son Travis (Stephanie) of Omaha, NB, Grandma to Hailey (Kaleb) McCoy of Joplin, Carter, Grant and Zachary of Omaha, Great Grandmother (Gigi) to Adalie, Ryland and Emmeline of Joplin. They all survive her. She loved her family at St. Paul's UMC where for 40 years she followed, led, sang &" facilitated", not taught, her adult Sunday School class.

Bernice is also survived by her siblings John (Sharon) Reeve, Jeffrey Reeve, Rebecca (Reeve) Holmes all of Joplin, brother Paul Reeve (Amanda) of Maroa, Illinois sister-in-law Jenni Reeve of Joplin and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life is planned for October 3, 2026 at St. Paul's Church in Joplin, Missouri at 11:00 a.m. The family invites friends out for a time of visitation prior at 10:00 a.m.

Arrangements are under the direct care of Parker Mortuary in Joplin, Missouri.

Jerry Jeffers

Gerald Ralph Jeffers, known to many as Jerry, passed away on September 1, 2026, in Carthage, Missouri, at the age of 82. He was born on July 25, 1944, in Ashtabula, Ohio,to the late Ralph and Eileen (Ingram) Jeffers.

Jerry earned a Bachelor of Arts in Engineering, a foundation that supported a long and accomplished career. He served his country with honor for 21 years in the United States Army, a period of his life that reflected his discipline, loyalty, and sense of duty. Following his military service, he continued to apply his skills and knowledge as a computer engineer at Boeing for 13 years. In both his military and professional life, Jerry was valued for his dependability, intelligence, and calm presence.

He married the love of his life, Dora Combs, on June 2, 1967 in Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri.

Outside of his work, Jerry found joy in the game of golf, which remained one of his favorite pastimes. He appreciated the time spent on the course and the friendships that often came with it. His love of golf was matched by his willingness to give back to the community. He volunteered at Mercy Hospital, the Area Agency on the Aging, Briarbrook Golf Course, and Meals on Wheels. Through these efforts, he shared his time and energy in ways that made a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

Jerry will be remembered as a man of service, integrity, and generosity. He touched the lives of many through his years of military service, his professional contributions, and his volunteer work. 

His life reflected a steady commitment to doing what was right and helping where he was needed. Those who knew him will remember his warm spirit, his sense of purpose, and the example he set through a life well lived.

Jerry is survived by his beloved wife, Dora Jeffers; and sister, Nancy Jeffers (Greg).

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Allan Jeffers.

Jana Davis

Jana Jarie Davis, 71, passed away on September 7, 2026, in her home.

Jana was born on August 8, 1955, to Roy and Bethal Faubion. She graduated from Sheldon R-8 High School in 1973 and spent much of her life in the Sheldon and Lamar, Missouri, areas before later making her home in Arma, Kansas.

Jana spent most of her working years at Thorco in Lamar, where she built friendships and memories throughout her career. But the things that mattered most to Jana could never be summed up by where she worked or the years she spent there. She was a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, cousin, friend, and neighbor, and she left behind a lifetime of stories that her family will continue telling for years to come.

Jana had a personality all her own. She loved her pickles, watched Days of Our Lives faithfully, and made a homemade goulash that became part of the family's traditions. Every Christmas, no matter how old her daughters became, they could count on getting Life Savers from Mom. She sang "Happy Birthday" enthusiastically and usually off-key, and occasionally the birthday person's name became someone else's somewhere along the way.

She also had a soft spot for animals, including Henry, the neighborhood cat who eventually figured out that Jana's house was a pretty good place to land. Before long, Henry had his own special food and, whether anyone officially declared it or not, had become hers.

Jana is survived by her daughter, Jeri Davis and Shawn Ellis of Weir, Kansas; her daughter, Jillian McCann and husband Samuel of Arma, Kansas; her grandchildren, Shanade, Mercedes (Leo), Alexa (Tyler), Trenton (Bailey), Jaidan (Caleb), Kieran, Wyatt, Khloe, and Jackson; and her great-grandchildren, Jacobi, Zaeleigh, Claire, Paisley, and soon-to-be Tate.

She is also survived by her brother, Rex Faubion and his wife, Judy, of Puyallup, Washington.

Jana is also survived by her lifelong friend and cousin, Rhonda Hawthorne, with whom she shared a lifelong bond and whom Jana considered more like a sister; and her dear friend and neighbor, Maryanne Hovey of Arma, Kansas, whose friendship, companionship, and many evenings spent visiting together meant so much to Jana.

Jana was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Bethal Faubion; her sisters, Brenda Faubion and Angelan Kirby; and her brothers, Gary, Charles, and Roy "Donnie" Faubion.

In keeping with Jana's wishes, she was able to donate her body for medical education and research, one final gift that may help others long after her death.

A Celebration of Life for Jana will be held Saturday, October 10, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. in the basement of Memorial Hall in Lamar, Missouri. Family and friends are invited to come share lunch, memories, stories, and celebrate Jana's life. There will be plenty of stories to tell, plenty of memories to laugh about, and, because it simply wouldn't be a celebration for Jana without them, there will be pickles.

Jana's family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice for the exceptional care, kindness, and support they provided to Jana and her family during her final days.

Barry Blevins

Barry Alan Blevins, age 55, passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2026, at his home in Miller, MO. He was born in Litchfield, IL on Tuesday, January 5, 1971; son of Joseph Edwin and Joanette "Joanie" (Carnduff) Blevins. He attended Litchfield High School where he was involved with FFA. He attended Lincoln Land Community College in Springfield, IL where he obtained his CDL license. 

Barry worked at National Food Store, Echlin Brake Parts for many years and M&M service; but his greatest occupation he was most proud of was being a Dad and a PaPa. He married Kristin Boden on Saturday, October 14, 2023, in Hillsboro, IL. He enjoyed fishing, riding Harley motorcycles, and camping. Barry collected Harley motorcycles as well. Barry enjoyed watching the San Francisco 49ers with his Dad and always wanted Kyle Larson to win the Nascar race. He was as member of The Moose Lodge in Litchfield, IL. Barry always looked forward to getting together with his best friend, Scott, and having a beer while talking together. Barry most treasured time with his family. He impacted many lives and will be missed by many! 

Surviving are the following: his wife, Kristin Boden-Blevins of Miller, MO; three daughters, Hannah Blevins of Hillsboro, IL, Savanah (Derek) Stevenson of Staunton, IL, and Mackenzie (Daniel) Oakley of Nokomis, IL; twin stepsons, Tristan and Trenton Starling; five grandchildren, Carter Stevenson, Colby Stevenson, Isabella Wicker, Paislee Stevenson, and Maddlynn Oakley; father, Joseph Edwin Blevins of Litchfield, IL; sister, Mieka (David) Kalaher, Litchfield, IL; nephew, Victor Kalaher; niece, Maggie Kalaher; several aunts, uncles, cousins; and many friends.

Barry was preceded in death by his mother, Joanie Blevins; maternal grandma, Lois Carnduff; maternal grandpa, George (Millie) Carnduff; and paternal grandparents, Robert and Betty Blevins. 

A Celebration of Life will be at The Moose Lodge in Litchfield, IL on Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 2:00 - 6:00 PM.
