Amy Jean Hutchison, age 94, of Joplin, Mo. passed away at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at Spring River Christian Village. Amy was born August 24, 1922 in Stark City, Mo. and had lived in Joplin most of her life. She was a homemaker. Amy was an avid golfer in the Joplin-Springfield area. During her career, she won several area tournaments, and was proud to have made seven holes in one.
Amy married Mack J. Hutchison in September of 1939. He preceded her in death in February, 2002. She was also preceded in death by a son, Ronald J. Hutchison. Survivors include three sons, Mike Hutchison and wife Jane, Webb City, Mo., Thomas C. Hutchison, Windsor, California, and Johnathan Hutchison and wife Marsha, Oak Ridge, Tennessee, 7 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and 1 great great granddaughter.
Memorial graveside services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Roger Nichols officiating. Memorial contributions are requested to the Joplin Parks And Recreation Jr. Golf Program. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to the Mason-Woodard Mortuary and Crematory of Joplin, Mo.
