Eduwiges Medina Cardoza Maturino, age 71, Joplin, passed away at 7:40 a.m. Monday, May 8, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family.
Eduwiges was born April 15, 1946 in Rodeo Durango, Mexico to the late Manuel Medina Ibanez and Maria Del Carmen Cardoza and had lived in Joplin the past several years.
A homemaker, she had worked in production at Butterball Turkey. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be missed by all that knew her.
She married Rafael Maturino on January 29, 1964 in Rodeo Durango, Mexico. He survives.
Additional survivors include her children, Jose Rafael Maturino, Manuel De Jesus Maturino, Dolores Silvia Maturino, Jorge E. Maturino, Maria De Atocha Maturino, Sergio Maturino, Maria De La Luz, Maria Guadalupe, Cesar Maturino; and several grandchildren.
Eduwiges was preceded in death by a daughter, Maria Maturino and a son, Luis Carlos Maturino.
A funeral mass is planned for Sunday at 4:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment is planned in Rodeo Durango, Mexico at a later date.
Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
