Lisa George

Lisa Susan George, age 62 of Joplin, Missouri went home to her Heavenly Father on May 7, 2017 following an illness.

She was born July 31, 1954 in Webb City, Missouri to Ralph Lee and Thelma Lee (Barton) Chrisman.

Lisa was employed at Freeman Health Systems as a Patient Service Coordinator for 10 years. She was an amazing giving woman and could always be seen with a smile on her face. One of her greatest joys in life were her grand kids, who she talked about every chance she got. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and was especially excited about celebrating 40 years with her husband.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, one sister, and two nephews.

Lisa married Jimmy George, the love of her life on August 8, 1977 in Carlsbad, New Mexico and he survives.
She is also survived by one son, Rick McCarty and wife Tabatha, Joplin, Missouri; four grandsons, Zac, Eric, and Chandler McCarty and Hudson Coach; Two granddaughters, Lisa Kay McCarty and Olivia Coke, all of Joplin, Missouri; one brother, Charles Chrisman and wife Martha, Seneca, Missouri; five sisters, George Ann Stockton and Husband Jim, Gayle Baker and husband Billy, Donna Navarez and husband Mario, and Vicky Jennings, all of Carlsbad, New Mexico, and Cathy Millard, State of Texas, her niece Christy, who selflessly cared for and supported her during her strong fought battle with cancer. As well as numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends.



Memorial graveside services will be 2:30 pm Friday May 12, 2017 at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Hedge-Lewis-Goodwin Funeral Friday from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm prior to the service.
