Bill James

William 'Bill' H. James was born May 4, 1939 in Seneca, Missouri, the son of Robert E. and Juanita (Williams) James. He entered into rest on May 3, 2017 at Galena Nursing Center in Galena, Kansas, following an extended illness at the age of 77. 

 Bill was a lifelong area resident of Seneca, Neosho and Joplin and served his country in the U.S. Army. He had worked at Kraft Foods in Neosho for over 40 years and at CFI in Joplin for 5 years. 

He is survived by three children, Sheila Clouse of Granby; Brian James and wife, Crystal of Gentry, AR and Stephen James of Neosho; one brother, Robert James of Joplin; two sisters, Carolyn Casey of Neosho and Donna Ogle of Lebanon, MO; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and his companion, Rose Carlile of Joplin and her children, Christi Hartman and husband, Jim of Fayetteville, NC and Shelly Hartman of Los Angeles, CA. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by an infant daughter, brother, Jerry and sister, Betty Tucker.

Graveside services with military honors were held Saturday, May 6, at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery, Joplin.
