Dawson L. Gilstrap, 75, Neosho, died May 6, 2017 at his home.
He was born September 24, 1941 in Joplin, Missouri, the son of Robert and Della (Caldwell) Gilstrap. Dawson lived most of his life in the Neosho area and worked in manufacturing as a machinist.
He married Lillian Lamoureax and she preceded him in death on September 29, 1983. Dawson is survived by three children, Kevin Gilstrap of Kansas City, MO, Robert Gilstrap of Rogers, AR and Cheryl Espe and husband, Joe of Coffeyville, KS; two brothers, Richard Gilstrap of Neosho and Mike Gilstrap and wife, Leanna of Torrance, CA; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; a companion of many years, Silvia Tresvan of Neosho and her children, Inga Tresvan, Ilke Tresvan, Frieda Tresvan-Marquez, Ursula Tresvan and Hans Tresvan. In addition to his wife, Dawson is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Shirley.
Services will be held Friday, May 12, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Clark Funeral Home in Neosho. Interment will follow in the Neosho IOOF Cemetery. The family will receive friends at a time of visitation on Friday at the Clark Funeral Home, Neosho from 1:00 to 2:00 pm.
