Jack Barnes

Jack D. Barnes, 88 years, of Lanagan, Missouri passed away on Sunday, May 14, 2017 at his residence.

Jack was born on January 20, 1929 in Dodge City, Oklahoma to the late Opal Barnes Johnson. He proudly served our country in the United States Air Force for 21 years retiring as a Master Sergeant from the Fairchild Air Force Base in Spokane, Washington. Jack worked at the Spokane County City Jail as a Senior Supervisor of the Correction Officers, retiring in 1991. He was a member of the Masons and the Cove Mission of Hope Church.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Opal Barnes Johnson; his wives, Dolores Joyce Barnes and Carol Noah Barnes.

Jack is survived by his best friend, Teresa Neal of Claremore, Oklahoma; his children, Jack Dee Barnes, Jr. of Spokane Valley, Washington, Tina Renee McClure and husband, James of Blaine, Washington; three grandchildren, Charlene Wright, C.J. McClure, Jacklyn Parsons; five great grandchildren, Jackson Wright, Dee Dee Wright, Mason McClure, Makenna McClure, Cooper Parsons; along with a host of other relatives and friends who will dearly miss Jack.

A Memorial service for Jack will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, May 26, 2017 at the Cove Mission of Hope Church in Lanagan, Missouri. Brother Bob Cartwright will officiate. Memorial contributions may be given to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Shriner's Hospital or the Cove Mission of Hope Church, in care of the funeral home.
