Clyde Stafford

Mr. Clyde Edward Stafford, 77, of Stella, Missouri, departed this life on Wednesday, May 10, 2017, in the comfort of his home after a recent battle with cancer.

Clyde entered this life on August 7, 1939, in Stella, Missouri, one of four children born to the union of the late Jack and Bessie Marie (Daugherty) Stafford. He was a lifelong area resident. After high school, he enlisted and served his country in the United States Army. Clyde taught school, worked on the pipeline and was a farmer throughout his life. He enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting and fishing. Clyde attended the Bethlehem Free Will Baptist Church in Rocky Comfort, Missouri.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Linda Stafford; and two siblings, Betty Miller and Jerry Stafford.

Clyde is survived by one brother, Leroy Stafford and wife, Ernestine, of Grove, Oklahoma; two nephews and a niece; as well as a host of other family and friends.

Graveside services were held Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at the Union Cemetery near Stella, Missouri with Pastor Hap Anders officiating.
