Mr. Charles Robert Boyd, 87, of Webb City, Missouri, departed this life on Friday, May 22, 2020, at Westgate at Wildwood Ranch in Joplin, Missouri.
Charles entered this life on October 21, 1932, in West Helena, Arkansas, son of the late Raymond and Lillie (Snyder) Boyd. He moved with his family to Webb City in 1943, graduating from Webb City High School in 1950. His work history included; Big Smith, Morton Booth and Missouri Southern State College. Charles was a member of the Webb City Church of the Nazarene.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Bill Boyd; and two sisters, Mary Jane Taylor and Bertha Elizabeth Boyd.
Charles is survived by a brother, Jack Boyd and wife, Jennie, of Joplin; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services are 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 29, 2020 in the Chapel of Hedge-Lewis-Goodwin Funeral Home in Webb City, Missouri, with Pastor Nathan Heck officiating. Inurnment will take place at the Webb City Cemetery. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Hedge-Lewis-Goodwin Funeral Home in Webb City.
