Joshua P. 'Josh' Michael, age 29, Webb City, passed away at 2:50 p.m. Saturday, May 9, 2020 at his home after a sudden illness.
Josh was born February 9, 1991 in Joplin to Paul Michael and Tammy Staples Michael and was a lifetime area resident.
Josh graduated from Webb City High School in 2009. He worked as a machinist at F.A.G. Bearing for several years and was considered a very dedicated worker. He also had a temporary work assignment in North Carolina. He immediately fell in love with the area. Josh loved people, life and video games! Family meant the world to him. He cherished his son and was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan. One of his favorite things to do was watch games with his grandpa Larry. Josh will be missed by everyone that knew and loved him.
He is survived by his mother, Tammy Michael, Joplin; father, Paul Michael, Joplin; his son, Gabriel Michael, St. Louis; sister, Brittney Michael, Joplin; niece, Emma; nephews, Braxton and Easton; grandparents, Peggy Staples, Joplin, Delores Michael and husband, Melvin; and several aunts, uncles, extended family members and many great friends.
Josh was preceded in death by his grandfather, whom he considered his best friend and second dad, Larry Staples.
A visitation is planned for Saturday, May 16, 2020 from 1-3:00 p.m. at Parker Mortuary. Friends are encouraged to wear their favorite Chiefs gear or 420 shirt.
Memorial contributions may be made to Parker Mortuary to help with funeral expenses.
