James McClendon

James Edward McClendon, age 81 of Neosho, entered into rest on May 19, 2020 in Neosho, following an illness. James was born November 29, 1938 in Neosho, one of seven children to Wendel and Margie (Norris) McClendon.

James served his country in the U.S. Navy for nine years, serving during the Vietnam War. He worked as a truck driver and drove for Schneider Trucking until his retirement. He enjoyed spending time with his family and reading his Bible and was of the Baptist faith. 

James and Linda (Mentzer) were married on September 2, 1966 in Miami, Oklahoma and she survives. 








In addition to his loving wife, Linda, he is survived by a daughter, Rebecca Mallory and husband, Mike of Neosho; two grandchildren, Presley and Kayla Mallory; two brothers, Rob McClendon and Paul McClendon and one sister, Barbara Spinks. 

He is preceded in death by a daughter, Regina McClendon, his parents and three sisters. 

Friends may call at the Clark Funeral Home, Neosho on Tuesday, May 26, 2020 from 9 am until 5 pm. Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at 10 am at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, Reverend William Webber and Dr. Phillip McClendon will officiate. Interment will follow in the Granby Memorial Cemetery.
