Troy Risley

Troy Clark Risley was born July 25, 1925 in Cane Hill, Arkansas, one of six children to Charles Clark and Cora Lucinda (Kifer) Risley. He entered into rest on May 26, 2020 at Freeman West Hospital due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. 

He served in the U.S. Navy Reserve during World War II, September 15, 1943-April 22, 1946. Troy lived most of his life in the Neosho area and was a city and rural mail carrier. He also served as a minister to various small Church of Christ congregations. 

Troy and Patty Mae (Peters) were married on Jan. 3, 1948 in Newton County and she survives. 








In addition to his wife of 72 years, he is survived by three children, Troy Clark (Sara) Risley, Jr. of Columbus, Kansas, Caralee Risely and Rita Risley, both of Neosho; two grandchildren, Clark Risley and Kelly Berges; four great grandchildren, Becca, Noah, Lynnea and Sophia; one brother, Roy Risley of Oklahoma and four sisters, Retha Jones of Illinois, Maxine Purdom of Monett, Anna West of Florida and Sammy Lipscomb of North Carolina.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Dennis Risley, daughter, Elaine Gray and grandson, Jeff Risley.
