Barbara Adams

(From Mason-Woodard Mortuary)

On Monday, January 24th, 2022, Barbara Lavonne Adams departed from this life. Barbara was born on June 11,1939 in Chetopa, Kansas to John and Eileen (Gale-Everett) Adams.

Barbara was a hard worker and did everything the right way. She enjoyed watching the Raiders and Steelers play every Sunday during football season, watching little league baseball, and riding in style inside a limousine to garage sales.

Barbara was a giver and always put others needs and desires before her own. She loved having a large family and enjoyed every moment spent with them.

We were all blessed to learn many valuable lessons from Barbara during her 82 years, among them: the importance of tradition and joy of making the infamous Bacon and Egg gravy with biscuits every Christmas morning, while surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. To Never say mean things about anybody; they are “poor souls to pray for.” Make the car dance by lightly tapping the brakes to the beat of songs on the radio. Let a dog (or two or three) share your bed. Those who've taken her lessons to heart will continue to ensure that: yes, boiled eggs do belong in gravy. Life is short. Be silly. Have fun. Love the people who treat you right. Forget the ones who don’t. Regret nothing.

Four months ago, Barbara became ill, and her health started to decline. During this time, she never lost her grit or ornery personality. Her faith in God remained strong.

Barbara will be forever remembered by her daughter Vicki Story, son Joseph Flynn and stepson Wayne Flynn. Siblings, Shirley McDonald, Gary Adams. Five grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. And many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her two sons, Kevin Moeschler SR., Kelly Williamson; and two sisters, Wanda Cagle and Kay Pugh.
