(From Greenfield Funeral Chapel)Robert Wayne “Bob” O’Connor, of Lockwood, MO, was called home on January 25th, 2022 at the age of 65. Bob was born in Lamar on March 20th, 1956 to R.B. and Marcella O’Connor. Bob accepted Jesus as his personal Lord and Savior and was baptized in 1965.
After graduating from Greenfield high school, Bob joined the Army National Guard. Bob and Brenda were married on May 20th 2016 and enjoyed six grandchildren who adored and loved Bob dearly and whom he loved in return.
Bob wore many hats throughout his lifetime, including owning and operating his own business where he worked alongside Amanda Pickett and Cassie O’Connor, who became like family to him.
Bob enjoyed working at the Good Shepherd Nursing Home, where he not only maintained the grounds, but he became friends with his co-workers, as well as the residents. He cared in such a way, that when he would fill the bird feeders, he would also place bird seed on their windows to draw the birds closer for them to enjoy.
Bob enjoyed many activities, including riding his golf cart to Uncle Jake and Aunt Joyce’s house to deliver eggs, learning how to fish striper with Rod and Cheryl, and weekly Monday visits with Patty. He loved watching the Cardinals and the Chiefs, attending his nieces and nephews sporting events and teaching their twin granddaughters how to fish.
