James L. McWilliams, passed away January 16, 2022, in Springfield, MO. He was born August 19, 1939, in Carthage, MO.
Lt. Col. McWilliams Rtd., served 23 years in the U.S. Army Transportation Corps beginning in 1963 and retiring in 1986. His service included two tours in Vietnam as well as overseas, posting in Italy Thailand and Turkey. After military service he worked for Modern Technologies in St. Louis, MO.
He is survived by his twin sister, Sandra White and her husband, Bob; his children, James McWilliams Jr. and Laralyn McWilliams; granddaughter, Sophia Anderson; and cousins, Janice Baucom and John Knell. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Ellen McWilliams, parents Hugh McWilliams and Anna Porter McWilliams and cousin Joyce.
