(From VanArsdale Funeral Services)Hunter J. Ayers, 29, of Burlington, passed away Thursday, January 13, 2022 at his home.
Hunter Joe Ayers was born April 17, 1992 in Emporia, Kansas, the son of Robert Joe and Kathy Sue (Kolbaba) Ayers. He graduated from Osage City High School in 2011.
Hunter cared deeply about his family and friends. He loved spending time with them, especially his grandma, Juanita. He enjoyed cooking and Harley Davidson motorcycles. Hunter loved dogs and the companionship they provided.
He was a Direct Support Professional for COF Training Services in Burlington, caring for individuals in need. Hunter was so many things. He was an amazing son, brother, grandson, nephew, and friend. Most of all, he was a kind soul that meant the world to those that loved him.
Hunter will be forever remembered by his parents, Robert and Kathy Ayers of Osage City; his brother, Walker (Lauren) Ayers of Emporia; maternal grandmother, Juanita Kolbaba of Osage City; paternal grandfather, Robert (Vickie) Ayers of El Dorado Springs, Missouri; paternal grandmother, Joanne (Alan) Washburn of Lamar, Missouri; a nephew, Emerson Joe, and a niece, Holly Marie Ayers.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, John Kolbaba and an uncle, Steven Kolbaba.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Helping Hands Humane Society and sent in care of VanArsdale Funeral Chapel, 107 N. Sixth, Osage City, Kansas 66523. Condolences may be expressed at Vanarsdalefs.com.
