(From Ulmer Funeral Home)Dorris “Jackie” Wyatt-Wright, 95, passed away Friday, January 14, 2022 in Joplin, Missouri. Jackie was born September 9, 1926 in Cotton Wood Falls, Kansas to Ross and Beatrice Moore. Jackie was a lifetime resident of Carthage, Missouri.
She was a homemaker, an avid reader in her later years and a huge fan of the St. Louis Cardinals. Jackie also really enjoyed cooking and quilting. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Carthage, Missouri.
Jackie married Everette L. Wyatt in Columbus, Kansas; he preceded her in death January 21, 1998.
She later married H. S. “Sam” Wright later in life; he, too, preceded her in death.
Jackie is survived two sons, Dan Wyatt and his wife, Carolyn of Carthage, Missouri and Phil Wyatt and his wife, Kathy of Neosho, Missouri; four grandchildren, Mathew Wyatt, Gabe Wyatt, Kelse Wyatt, and M’Kenzie Shea; one great grandchild, Nora Shea Smith; and one great great grandchild.
Jackie is preceded in death by her husbands, Everette L. Wyatt and H. S. “Sam” Wright; her parents, Ross and Beatrice Moore; and her four siblings, Lloyd Hunsucker, Floyd Moore, Paul Moore, and Opal Peters.
Services are pending. Visitation will be held February 19, 2022 at Ulmer Funeral Home; visitation time is pending. Burial will be at Paradise Cemetery in Jasper, Missouri.
