Melanie Hooten

Melanie Lynn Hooten, age 41, of Cassville, Missouri passed away Thursday, January 20, 2022 at Mercy Hospital Northwest Arkansas in Rogers, Arkansas.

She was born March 8, 1980 in McPherson, Kansas the daughter of Michael and Kathryn (Holloway) Boone.

Surviving are two sons, Andrew Hooten of Cassville, Missouri and Isaac Hooten of Cassville, Missouri; her father, Michael Boone of Shell Knob, Missouri; one brother, Kyle Boone and his wife Angie of Bonner Springs, Kansas; two nieces, Sophia and Audrey and several aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.








Preceding her in death was her mother, Kathryn Boone.

Melanie graduated from De Soto High School in De Soto, Kansas. She later attended Southwestern College in Winfield, Kansas where she attained her Bachelor’s Degree in Education. Upon graduating she moved to Fort Worth, Texas working there for two years before relocating to Houston, Texas. She moved to this area in 2017 and became employed by the Southwest R-V School District in Washburn, Missouri from 2019 until 2021 when she began teaching fifth grade at Monett Intermediate School. Family was very important to Melanie and her passion was her children’s activities and spending time with them. She loved the Lord and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Cassville.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, February 12, 2022 at First Baptist Church in Cassville. Pastor James Weaver will conduct the services. Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.

Contributions may be made to First Baptist Church Youth Group in memory of Melanie.
