Richard Sluder

Richard Sluder, age 76, of Joplin, passed away suddenly on January 22, 2022 in Joplin.

Richard was born in Topeka, KS on July 4, 1945 to Charles and Lillian (Reynolds) Sluder. 

Richard married his soul mate Janet Doolen Sluder on September 25, 1965 in Joplin, Mo.

Throughout his life he was actively involved in the Joplin Jaycees and Elks 501, he held many chairs including Exalted Ruler that he held in 1990.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents and brother Virgil.

He is survived by his wife Janet of Joplin, Children Randy (Sherri) of Joplin, Scott (Deidra) of Webb City, his grandchildren Elizabeth, Sean, Saige and Stern Sluder. Brothers Charles (Connie) Of Joplin, Don (Trish) of Pryor, Ok. and many extended family members.

There will be a celebration of life, held at the Joplin Elks Lodge on Tuesday February 1st. From 4-6pm.
