(From Ozark Funeral Home)Mrs. Oma J. Cantrell, 87, of Pineville, Missouri passed away January 9, 2022 at the McDonald County Living Center in Anderson, Missouri after declining health.
Oma was born May 26, 1934, in Saratoga Springs, Missouri to the late James and Rosie Mae (Evans) Buchanan. Oma was united in marriage on May 10, 1955 to Mr. John Elbert Cantrell in Noel, MO and to this union three children were born. Oma worked for many years at the local chicken plant. Oma enjoyed crossword puzzles, sewing, and watching baseball.
Oma is preceded in death by her parents and her husband John in 2017.
Oma is survived by three children: Johnathan Cantrell (Becky Brock) of Gentry, AR, Cherita Bates (Freddie) of Sulphur Springs, AR, and Athel Pitman (Tony) of Crowder, OK, ten grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren as well as a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services for Mrs. Oma J. Cantrell will be held on Friday, January 28, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at the Ozark Funeral Home in Southwest City, Missouri with Pastor Buddy Pease officiating. Bural will follow in the Saratoga Springs Cemetery near Southwest City, Missouri.
Those honoring Oma’s life by serving as pallbearers are; Justin Bates, Johnathan Cantrell, Freddie Bates, Josh Pease, Jordan Teague, and Shaunda Potarf.
