(From Parker Mortuary)Wayne Roger Anderson, born 11/30/1936 in Winona, MN to Wilford and Alma Anderson. He passed away at his home surrounded by family on Tuesday, 1/18/22.
Wayne was a MN National Guard Veteran. Wayne was a carpenter who apprenticed under George Carson and LaVerne Schumacher in Winona, MN. He worked at Home Depot in Joplin for over 15 years.
Wayne was married to Marcella Messig for 61 years. Wayne will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Wayne was preceded in death by his mother and father; brothers, Kenny and Roger; and sister, Marilyn.
Wayne is survived by his wife, Marcey; four children, Wayne Jr., Terri, Penny (Ted Epperson), and Susan (Paul Eckes); sisters, Dorothy and Sherry; step-mother, Jeanne; 10 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
The family has requested that in lieu of flowers donations be made out to Alzheimer's Association or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
Visitation will be held at Parker Mortuary Friday 1/21/2022 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
