(From Derfelt Funeral Home)Phyllis June Turner, 78, of Quapaw, OK passed from this life on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at Higher Call Nursing Home, Quapaw, OK.
Phyllis was born on February 24, 1946, in Baxter Springs, KS. She was raised by her mother, Billie June (Crane) Morgan. She was married to Bruce Turner in 1987. Phyllis enjoyed puzzle books, reading mystery novels and wood carving when her health allowed.
Phyllis is preceded in death by her mother, Billie June Morgan; husband, Bruce Turner; sister, Susie Hutchings; brother, J.D. Hutchings.
Phyllis is survived by one son, Billy Lawellin of Quapaw, OK; sister, Cindy Lynch and husband Chris of Webb City, MO; along with nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Phyllis has been entrusted to Derfelt’s Baxter Chapel for cremation. The family will plan services at a later date.
