(From Weng Funeral Chapel)Bruce Wayne Lombard, 66, passed away Friday, May 2nd, 2025, at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, Missouri. He was born on June 12,1958 in Carthage, Missouri to Carl “Pete” Lombard and Doris Ann (Chrisman) Lombard. He was a long-time Carthage resident and worked at Flex-O-Lators for 42 years.
Bruce is survived by his mother, Doris Ann Lombard, one son Derek Lombard and his wife, Hayley, of Ashland, MO, one daughter Kelsey Lombard of Manhattan, KS, granddaughters Mae and Cora, of Ashland, KS, a brother Terry Lombard and wife Caryl of Louisburg, KS, nephew Justin Lombard and wife Jill of Leawood, KS and a niece Jana Moser and husband Patrick , Kansas City, MO. He is also survived by six great nieces, Madelyn, Vivienne, Annabelle, Alivia, Mavis, April and a great nephew Jonas along with many other family members. He was preceded in death by his dad, Carl “Pete” Lombard.
Bruce had a passion for hunting, fishing, bowling, playing & singing music, the KC Chiefs and his cowboy custom Chevrolet truck.
Bruce loved the Lord, studying the Bible and teaching Sunday School at Bethany Baptist Church. He was loved by all who knew him and had a servant’s heart.
Visitation will be held at the Weng Funeral Chapel, Jasper, MO on Monday, May 12, 2025 from 6:00 to 7:00 PM.
Funeral services will be held at Bethany Baptist Church on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at 10:30 AM.
