Paul Spratt

Paul W. Spratt, age 92, of Mt. Vernon, Missouri, passed away at 9:20 p.m. on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at his home. He was born October 5, 1932, in Springfield, Missouri, the son of Robert Cleveland and Charlotte Pearl (Wartenbee) Spratt.

Paul was a 1950 graduate of Mt. Vernon High School. He retired after 23 years as a Chief Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force serving during the Korean and Vietnam wars. He worked for EFCO Corporation in Monett, Missouri, for 17 years. Paul enjoyed gardening and giving and sharing what he grew with his family and friends and attended the Church in Action in Mt. Vernon, Missouri.

On October 12, 1990, he married Doris Pruitt, in Miami, Oklahoma.

Paul is survived by his wife of 34 years, Doris; one daughter, Lisa Beth Earnest of Ft. Worth, Texas; one granddaughter, Suzannah Merritt of Austin, Texas; one stepson, John West and his wife, Melissa, of Lamar, Missouri and several nieces and nephews.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Charlotte; one sister, Betty Burlison and two brothers, Herbert and Robert Spratt.

A memorial service under the direction of Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home, in Mt. Vernon, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 16, 2025, at the Church in Action, in Mt. Vernon. Online condolences may be shared at www.FossettMosherFuneralHome.com.
