Sharon Davis

Sharon Arlene Davis, age 75, a lifelong resident of Anderson, Missouri, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home on Thursday morning, May 15, 2025, after months of failing health. She entered this life on February 20, 1950, one of four children born to the union of the late Carl and Rena (Ledford) Hurley.

Sharon's journey began as the daughter of a small-town family, where she learned the values of hard work, compassion, and the importance of community. She carried these values throughout her life, touching the hearts of everyone she met. Her radiant smile and generous nature were her trademarks, leaving an indelible mark on the town of Anderson.







A devoted mother and matriarch, Sharon is survived by her three children, Thomas Mitchell and his wife, Ronda, of Anderson, Missouri; Carla Moyer and her husband, Mike, of Seneca, Missouri; and Lesa Davis, also of Anderson. Her legacy continues through her eleven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. Sharon also leaves behind two brothers, Darrol Hurley and his wife, Betty, of Grove, Oklahoma, and Curtis Hurley and his wife, Billie Ann, of Tiff City, Missouri. Her extended family and a multitude of friends will miss her dearly, each holding onto the unique memories they created with her.

Sharon's professional life was as impactful as her personal one. For nearly five decades, she owned and operated the Green Meadows Group Home in Anderson, where she provided care and support to countless individuals. Her dedication to her work was evident in the warm, welcoming environment she fostered and the lives she improved through her unwavering commitment to service.








Beyond her professional endeavors, Sharon was a lover of animals and the outdoors. Her passion for nature was infectious, and she often shared this love with her family and friends through outdoor adventures and quiet moments spent in the beauty of her surroundings.

Funeral services are 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 20, 2025 in the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes with Pastor Leo Lenze officiating. Burial will follow at Cummings Cemetery in Tiff City, Missouri. Those honoring her life by serving as pallbearers are Thomas Mitchell, Lesa Davis, Earl Burleson, Ray Lovatt, Cord Sullivan and Taylor Hayes with Sheranda Davis, Caitlyn Lovatt, Shalaya Davis, Thaddius Slaven, Dominic Macfee, Paige Sparrow, Trenton Lovatt, Raymond Lovatt and Lukas Jones serving as honorary. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 5-7:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Ozark Funeral Home in Anderson, Missouri.
