Bunny Collins

Bunny R. Collins, of Webb City, MO, passed away on October 6th, 2020 surrounded by her closest family members after bravely battling cancer. Bunny was born on March 29th, 1964, in Unionville, MO.

Bunny attended Carl Junction schools and graduated in the class of 1982. 

Later that same year, in June, she married the love of her life, Jimmie. After her daughter was born, Bunny attended Missouri Southern Statue University to pursue her passions of helping her community and teaching today’s youth and graduated in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science in Education. 

Shortly after graduating, Bunny began working at the Webb City School District where she was a third-grade teacher. In 2001, along side teaching, she attended Missouri State University and earned a Master of Science in Education. 








In 2005, Bunny began working for the Carl Junction School District where she continued teaching third grade. To further help the students of her community, Bunny transitioned into the role of school counselor after earning her Master of Arts in School Counseling from Lindenwood University in 2018.

Bunny truly loved her family, friends, and students. She loved to laugh and was extremely kindhearted and compassionate. She was dedicated to her job and performed all tasks with poise, excellence, and fine attention to detail.

Bunny was preceded in death by her husband Jimmie D. Collins. She is survived by her daughter, Whitney; sisters, Betty (m. Joe Heath) and Bonny (m. Mark Greninger); brother, Bobby (m. Karen Staggs); numerous loved nieces and nephews; and her dog, Chester.

An outdoor memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on October 17th, 2020 at New Beginnings Outreach located at 313 N. Grand Ave, Neck City, MO 64849.
