(From Parker Mortuary)Dorothy Jean Shireman, 95, of Webb City, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, October 13, 2020.
Dorothy was born June 12, 1925, in Joplin, Missouri, to the late Frank Trusell and Clara (Elsea) Trusell.
Dorothy had lived in the Joplin area most of her life, graduating from Neosho High School. Dorothy worked as a Real Estate Agent, including several years at Century 21.
Dorothy loved to do crafts, read and go to flea markets and rummage sales. But most of all family, was what she held very dear to her heart. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Dorothy was united in marriage to Tommy Shireman on February 12, 1955. He preceded her in death in 1990.
In addition to her parents and husband, Dorothy was preceded in death by her children, Bob Landon and Jim Landon, brother, Junior Trussell, sister, Pat Boyd.
Survivors include her children, Dorothy Cade, Tommy Shireman and wife, Lisa, Barbara Howell; grandchildren, Zayne Shireman, Haylyn Neal, Dalaynee Tynon, Christopher Smith and Keisha Smith; great grandchildren, Brant Smith, Alyssa Smith, Destini Smith, Christopher Smith, Jalynn Smith-Ward and Dominic Smith; great-great grandchild Bennett Smith; as well as extended family and friends.
Graveside services will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m.at Carl Junction Cemetery. Pastor Kenny Ansley will officiate.
The family has requested that no flowers be sent.
For those attending services, masks will be required and social distancing measures will be implemented.
Cremation arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri.
