(From Parker Mortuary)Geneva June Evans, age 94, Joplin, passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2020 at National Health Care of Joplin.
June was born June 15, 1926 in Joplin, daughter of the late Dolphus Burlison and Isabella Tusinger Burlison. She graduated from Joplin High School, and worked for years with Miller Manufacturing.
In addition to her parents, June was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Evans, who passed away on December 9, 1988. She was also preceded in death by daughters Edwina Seelye, and Ann Close; sisters, Evelyn Speerless and Alice Bare; and brothers, Shelby Lewis and Wesley Lewis.
Survivors include her daughter, Mary Belle Wyrick and husband Roger of Joplin; seven grandchildren, and several great and great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
Burial of her ashes will be at a later date with her husband in Osborne Memorial Cemetery.
