Marion Stubblefield

Georgia “Marion” Stubblefield, age 81, of Cassville, Missouri, went to meet the Lord on October 21, 2020.

She was born May 25, 1939 in Butler Hollow in Barry County, Missouri, the daughter of Curtis and Ellen (Patterson) Ellis who preceded her in death.

On November 22, 1959 she was united in marriage to Allen Stubblefield and to this union were born two boys, Jeffrey and Joe.








In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Allen; two brothers, Charles Ellis and Gary Ellis along with three brothers-in-law, Wendy Hilburn, Levi Barnes and Jim Cole.

Surviving are her two sons, Jeff Stubblefield of Cassville, Missouri and Joe Stubblefield and his wife, Rhonda of Verona, Missouri; one brother, Dale Ellis and his wife Barbra of Neosho, Missouri; three sisters, Freda Cooper and her husband Charles, Wanda Cole and Wilma Hilburn all of Cassville, Missouri; a sister-in-law, Diane Ellis of Cassville, Missouri; six grandchildren, Laci, Lane, Kaytie Jo, Edie, Jessica and Brandon; nine great grandchildren, Lili, Chael, Ridge, Bryar, Erica, Logan, Jaden, Levi and Adi and several nieces and nephews.

Marion graduated from Cassville High School in 1957. She worked for Barry-Lawrence Library for fifty years. She was “Marion the Librarian” and taught story hour for many years, which was her most cherished position. Marion loved the Lord and her family. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church and most recently attended Community Faith Chapel. Before Alzheimer’s, she loved scrapbooking, doing crossword puzzles and traveling with her life-long friend, Ivy (Brant) Cunningham.

Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Cassville under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Pastor Danny Heupel will conduct the services. Burial will be at Corinth Cemetery in Cassville.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Monday at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.

Contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in memory of Marion.
