Homer Belk

Homer H. Belk, 85, passed away at his home in Carthage, Missouri, October 14, 2020. Homer was born June 16, 1935 in Eldorado, Kansas to Fred and Ada Belk. 

Homer retired in 2003 after 14 years working for the Cessna Aircraft Company as a supervisor over the single engine division. He was a baseball player and played shortstop in 2008 he was inducted into the El Dorado High School Baseball Hall of Fame. He was a St. Louis Cardinal fan. Homer loved art and loved to paint acrylics on canvas. He was a member of the First Christian Church where he helped with the communion service and was active in the Seekers Sunday school class.

Homer was united in marriage to Pam Nicely July 30, 1988 in Owasso, Oklahoma, she survives.







Homer is survived by two daughters Stephanie (Jason) Doss of Monett, MO, Nicole (Kevin) Harris Battlefield, MO, one son Eric (Missy) Belk of Springfield, MO, one step-daughter Connie Savage of Tulsa, OK, and one step-son Kenny Savage of Skiatook, OK, nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday October 20, 2020 at the First Christian Church of Carthage, Visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday October 20, 2020 at the First Christian Church of Carthage. Burial will follow at Park cemetery.
