G. R. Lewis

G.R. Lewis, of Lockwood, MO, departed this life on Sunday, October 18, 2020, in the Good Shepherd Community Care and Rehabilitation Facility at the age of 87.

He was born on August 25, 1933 in Lawrence County, MO to Weston H. and Goldie I. (Garner) Lewis. G.R. graduated from Miller High School. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. G.R. was united in marriage to Leona Meyer on July 3, 1960 in Miller, MO. He retired after a 26 year career as an over the road truck driver. G.R. was a member of the Gray’s Point Christian Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Weston and Goldie Lewis; and his wife, Leona Lewis.








Survivors include his daughter, Joyce Harbaugh and husband Tracy of Diamond, MO; two sons, Gary Lynn Lewis and wife Becky of Carthage, MO and Warren Lyle Lewis and wife Linda of Granby, MO; two sisters, Emma Neal Lewis of Miller, MO and Wilda Ilene Lovejoy of Joplin, MO; ten grandchildren, Allen Lewis, Whitney Lewis, Kristi Bayless, Curtis Lewis, Kyle Lewis, Amanda Lewis, Adam Lewis, Jacob Lewis, Spencer Harbaugh, and Sara Harbaugh; and eleven great-grandchildren, Joby Williams, Matthew Williams, Jaycee Bayless, Grady Bayless, Cohan Lewis, Gatlen Lewis, Kambrea Lewis, Jack Lewis, Aiden Lewis, Silas Lewis, and Lily Lewis; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 21, 2020, in Red Oak Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Red Oak Cemetery. Online condolences may be shared at www.greenfieldfuneralchapel.com. Services are under the care of Greenfield Funeral Chapel.
