Stan Timmons

(From Konantz Warden Funeral Home)

Charles Stanley Timmons passed away on Thursday October 22, 2020 at his home. He was born November 27, 1956 to Elmer and Frances (Lean) Timmons.

Stan was a carpenter by trade and was known to be generous with his time, helping friends with projects and refusing payment. He worked on many weekend projects with his sons, teaching them his skills. He struggled with a lifelong addiction with alcohol and turned to Jesus to keep him on track.

Stan loved trout fishing, horses, playing the guitar, and being a grandfather.

A hole will be felt in the lives of those he touched as is well stated in the passage below, written by Jake:

Our Papa Stan unexpectedly went to be with Jesus. My kids loved their Papa Stan. My heart breaks for them. Through the years I watched him fight several battles. It would have been easy for him to give up but he never did. He got back up each time and eventually found freedom through a relationship with Jesus. The last years of his life were spent loving God and embracing family. I will miss the talks we had about Lamar Football. One of the greatest periods of my life was being on the staff and each Saturday you coming over to drink coffee and watch film. I will miss building stuff with you. I will just flat out miss you. We miss ya Dad. But we will see you again! It’s impossible to feel like we lost you because we know exactly where you’re at. No more pain. No more regrets. I look forward to our reunion. Enjoy yours. We Love you.

Stan is survived by four sons; Corey (Kaylee) Timmons, Jake (Haley) Timmons, Josh (Mykela) Timmons and Dusty Timmons, all of Lamar, MO. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; Brevon, Kaylynn, Caden, Maylee, Briley, Grace, Zeke, Jaelyn, Scarlett, and Landon, a sister Jan Luce of Lamar, MO, a brother Tim (Kay) Timmons of Lamar, MO and many other family member and close friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to the Timmons family.

A visitation at 10 AM followed by an 11 AM funeral will be held on Wednesday October 28, 2020 at the Lamar Family Ministries Center. (LFMC)
